Gluten-Free Restaurant Listings!
While there are many places who claim to have Gluten-Free menus in Las Vegas, there are some that are DEFINITELY better than others at making SURE you have a SAFE gluten-free experience. The restaurants listed FIRST, have passed OUR gluten-free test, in that we have eaten there at least 3 times, and had an EXCELLENT, symptom-free experience each of those times. Just so you know, I am EXTREMELY sensitive to gluten, and get very sick from the tiniest bit of cross-contamination...
SO, if you see the RED gluten-free symbol shown here next to a restaurant listing, you can be assured that we have been there several times and and had an EXCELLENT experience EVERY time. They passed THE TEST!
NOTE: Even with our recommendation, we always suggest CALLING THE RESTAURANT FIRST to make sure nothing has changed since we added the restaurant to the site, and always requesting to speak to the manager upon arrival for their help in making your gluten-free visit a safe and enjoyable one. Recipes change...vendors change! Please don't assume the info on this website is completely up to date...we do our very best to keep it so, but we obviously cannot guarantee your safety. - GF Onion Soup Au Gratin! Baked with gruyère cheese and topped with gluten-free croutons...seriously, a GF French Onion Soup...how cool!!
- Shrimp Cocktail! I know, you may be thinking, "so what...shrimp cocktail is almost always gluten-free." Yeah, but these shrimp are HUGE! Totally worth it. ;-)
- Filet Mignon & Shallow-Fry Frites! Made in a red-wine reduction sauce with merlot butter and served with oh-so-good-you-gotta-eat-the-whole-basket "Frites" (crispy shoestring French fries cooked in a dedicated fryer)...um, YUM!!!
- GF BREAKFAST!! Gluten-free waffles, GF toast, bacon, eggs...the works! Oh yeah, and of course MIMOSAS!!

WHAT TO ORDER (my personal favorites):
- Voclano Nachos! Very good...and HUGE! Definitely big enough to share with the whole table...and then some! TIP: Order extra melted Queso on the side for dipping the extra chips into!
- GF Drunken Shrimp Appetizer! Sautéed shrimp with tequila key lime butter, roasted garlic, onions and peppers, with gluten free bread on the side...tasty!
- GF Cheeseburger in Paradise!!! Their signature burger on an UDI's Gluten-Free BUN! Comes with french fries cooked in a dedicated fryer!!! YUM!
- Gluten-Free Brownie Sundae! Warm gluten free brownies with heath bar crusted vanilla bean ice cream, macadamia nuts, homemade whipped cream and chocolate sauce...WOW!! Also big enough to share...OMG!!!!! :-)

I would recommend double-checking when they bring the food that it is indeed the gluten-free version though...sometimes they get very busy, and one time the food runner brought me the wrong dish...fortunately I asked and the mistake was caught before I ate any of it (gluten free dishes come on ROUND plates). Since then I have eaten there at LEAST 50 times with no incident, but I still verify EVERY time...just to be safe.

WHAT TO ORDER (my personal favorites):
- Egg Drop Soup! I don't even like eggs, and I LOVE this soup!
- Gluten-Free Chicken Lettuce Wraps! Just make sure they bring you a SEPARATE ramekin with gluten-free soy sauce and that they make YOUR special sauce FIRST (otherwise the mustard and chili sauce will already be contaminated from the other soy sauce).
- Gluten-Free Chang's Spicy Chicken! Made with potato starch OR you can order it "velvet-style"..both options can be made gluten-free. I also have them add broccoli to the dish...it's PERFECTION!
- Gluten-Free Hokkien Street Noodles! Thin rice noodles, light curry sauce, chicken, shrimp, egg, onion, julienned vegetables...so good!
- Ginger Chicken with Broccoli! Excellent choice if you don't like spicy foods.

All local produce, organic, super healthy and super YUMMY...they even have Kombucha on tap. SOOO delish. 😋 One of my favorites is the “Bird is the Word” Wrap...oh so good. Not sure what they use for the GF wrap (they call it a GF Pita, although it really is more like a wrap), but I've never gotten sick after eating it (I am REALLY sensitive to even the slightest, tiniest bit of gluten). I've also ordered a dish called the “Forbidden” Rice dish a couple of times. Super freakin’ YUMMILICIOUS!! This place came highly recommended by several people on the Las Vegas Celiac Support Facebook Group, so I already knew it would be safe. But, as always, make sure you inform the guy or gal behind the counter that you HAVE to eat gluten-free, if you have Celiac, so they know to take extra precautions. If you haven’t been yet, you seriously GOTTA check this place out!! Trust me on this one...you’ll love it!

Most of the locations do NOT have the gluten-free options listed on their wall menu, but there are a TON!! And I mean A TON of seriously incredible gluten-free options...more than I even imagined were possible. Super tasty, yummy, nutritious gluten-free options for breakfast, lunch AND dinner! GLUTEN-FREE smoothies & fresh juices, soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, bowls, pizzas...the list goes on and on. Healthy food that actually tastes GREAT!! The managing partner we met at the NEW North Las Vegas location, Patrick Haggerty, was so helpful and friendly when we visited. He was even able to recommend a bunch of gluten-free AND dairy-free options for my mom who is even more limited in what she can eat than I am these days. BONUS: Greens & Proteins even has an iPhone App (order your food ahead for quick pick-up...check it out HERE) and FREE WIFI at all their locations (a much healthier choice than sitting at Starbucks to catch up on your email). ;-) Very, very cool. We originally fell in love with this restaurant when we were visiting San Diego last summer, so we were SUPER excited when we found out they were building one in Las Vegas!!!! They have what they call a Gluten "Sensitive" menu (see link above to download that menu), which worried me at first, but if you inform them that you have Celiac and are VERY sensitive, they will do their best to take EXTRA precautions when preparing your meal. For the most part, the servers are quite GF knowledgeable (if you do run across a server who isn't sure about something on the menu or anything else regarding food prep, just ask for the manager). We have eaten at both locations a few times now and have had a great experience every time! They even have a really cool patio area specifically designed so you can bring your DOG(s), with items on the menu specifically for your pooch! A gluten-free menu AND a dog menu...how freakin' cool is that!?!?!? :-)

We originally fell in love with this restaurant when we were visiting San Diego last summer, so we were SUPER excited when we found out they were building one in Las Vegas!!!! They have what they call a Gluten "Sensitive" menu (see link above to download that menu), which worried me at first, but if you inform them that you have Celiac and are VERY sensitive, they will do their best to take EXTRA precautions when preparing your meal. - Steamed Edamame! (Always one of my favorite appetizers...great source of protein)
- Sweet & Spicy Wok (w/chicken AND shrimp)! Wok-fried chicken, shrimp or tofu tossed with broccoli, ginger, onions & garlic served with steamed white or brown rice. It is SOOOOO completely delicious...just writing about it is making me want to go get some!

I tested my food before eating it with the Gluten Test Kit available from Elisa Technologies. It tested POSITIVE for gluten, which seemed to baffle the kitchen staff, who offered to replace my contaminated meal with MORE contaminated beans & rice. I declined. WHAT TO ORDER (my personal favorites):
- Gluten-Free Edamame! Salted soybeans in the pod...or as I always call them, "HEALTHY french fries"!!!
- Pei Wei Spicy Chicken & Brown Rice! It is definitely spicy but so worth it!! Just make sure you say "gluten-free" so they cook it in a clean pan, and I recommend asking for "easy sauce." Also, it goes very nicely with a glass of their Pinot Grigio!

The owner Jan is super sweet, and every time we go we have such a fabulous time chatting all about her bakery, her delicious recipes, and her passion for providing great tasting, gluten-free baked goods at an affordable price! The menu changes a bit daily, but they always offer at least a few yummy breakfast items (even some that are vegan/dairy-free), 1 or 2 types of fresh bread, 4-5 different flavors of cookies, and a variety of other GF treats like muffins, cupcakes, chocolate covered macaroons (which are my absolute FAVORITE find when they ahve them!!), coffee cake, cinnamon rolls, etc. Every time we go, we are pleasantly surprised by how good EVERYTHING tastes. And, as I said, how AFFORDABLE everything is compared to most specialty gluten-free bakeries. I highly recommend you check them out as soon as you can.
